Breakfast Options; A Starting Point

Here are some breakfast options for my uncle who asked for a little bit of nutritional advice and also everyone and anyone else! My uncle told me that most of his breakfasts look like the photo above, so these are some options to gradually move in the healthier direction.

Low-Carb Bread

- I buy this Fit & Active bread from Aldi’s that I like to use for toast in the morning. Either with eggs, jelly, peanut butter, etc.

Toast & PB & Berries

- This is a new one for me! Been trying the low-carb Fit & Active bread with Peanut Butter and some raspberries and/or blueberries. The raspberries and blueberries are much lower in carbs than a banana or a jam, but still a good amount of flavor.

Eggs

- I really like to do scrambled eggs in the morning, especially with some salsa! Eggs can be lame (cooked baby spinach with scrambled egg-whites topped with mild salsa) or not lame (fried eggs with American cheese on toast with butter and some bacon on top!). I try to find a balance.

Some food for thought! … pun intended :)
